Muay Thai (Thai Kick Boxing) is an exciting and dynamic full contact ring sport that is gaining huge popularity across the globe. Some choose to compete, but many people have also turned to the sport as a fun, challenging and exciting way to improve their fitness, socilaise and gain confidence.

Whatever your goals, at Unit 1 Gym we provide professional Thai Boxing training for all, from complete beginners and fitness focused students through to amateur and professional level fighters.

We offer group classes as well as private sessions for all.

Beginners Muay Thai / Kick Boxing - Monday/Wednesday 7:00pm - 8:00pm

These classes focus on the basics. The best place to start if your a complete beginner and ideal for intermediate students to keep perfecting their basic technique! If you can’t make 7pm Monday or Wednesday we recommend a private induction (£see private coaching) at a time to suit before attending our more general classes. No booking needed, just register and come along!

Mixed Ability Muay Thai / Kick Boxing - Tues/Thurs/Fri 7:00pm - 8:00pm

These classes are suitable for all with at least a basic knowledge of Muay Thai (Please come to a few Beginners classes or take a private lesson before attending these classes). Class includes technique, pad work, bag work, drills and fitness. There is no free sparring on these classes though often some students will spar after class if a coach is available to supervise.

Intermediate/Advanced & Fight Team Training - Monday/Wednesday 7:00pm - 9:00pm

Advanced technique, hard pad rounds, sparring, clinching and conditioning for our more experienced students and current or soon to be fighters! You will need your own full set of protective kit including 14/16oz gloves, Thai style shin guards, mouth guard and groin guard. Previous Muay Thai experience essential.

Morning Muay Thai / Kick Boxing - Every Weekday 9:30am - 10:30am

These class is suitable for all, a general class that caters for all levels of ability. Class includes technique, pad work, bag work, drills and fitness. There is no free sparring on these classes. (We recommend coming to a few Beginners classes or take a private induction before attending these classes if possible)

Ladies Only Beginners Muay Thai - Every Thursday 6:00pm - 7:00pm

A ladies only beginners class taught by female coaches. Generally ages 14+ but mature 12/13yr olds are also welcome if they’d prefer an all female environment to get started.
